Kerrie helped us lock in a great mortgage rate right as prices started to rise. She or someone from her team were quick to respond to us when we had questions, and always reachable by phone or email. The application required a lot of documents but the submission portal was easy to use and Kerrie's assistant Aaron walked us through the harder steps. Finally, the team pulled off a very fast close that was required by our seller. We are glad to have worked with Kerrie and this company.

Kerrie was great. It the rest of your business process that sucks. I felt like Silk Tie was doing a forensic audit on me. A simple $492,500 no cash out Refi on a $5,450,000 property took six weeks, a $650 re-appraisal, 3 years of tax returns, 3 consecutive months of savings and IRA account statements.....I could go on. Who is Curative? They seemed to operate separate from Silk Tie. Underwriter requirements kept dribbling out and changing mid-stream. Impound account required, then no impound, then last minute impound of only Flood Ins. plus 2 days before signing was advised I needed to have a $6,000 cashiers check at signing to prepay real estate taxes and Flood Ins that weren't due for another month. Plus some arcane liquidity after close requirement. Fortunately, I could produce a simple $540,000 cash savings account and then needed 3 months of statements to document as well as to explain some recent individual transactions. I could go on...

Overall we had a great experience working with Kerrie. She helped us with all our queries and addressed them during non-business hours as well. Only one concern. Could have told about the delay in appraisal process in the earlier weeks or informed us on the fact that appraisal can be done only after the complete house interior completion. Because of this, we paid around extra 2k in terms of delay fees to builder + change in prepaid interest.

Somewhat better communication between team members and better knowledge of VA loans and what we needed. After we were asked for multiple forms, my husband spent hours researching VA loans and all of the documents to figure out himself what was actually needed (many of those asked for weren’t needed). Otherwise, the experience was very good.
